The Tourism Commission: Allowing Tourists who have European, British and US Visas to Receive Tourist Visa at the Kingdom’s Airports

The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage stressed that recipients of visas to the US, UK or Europe (Schengen) can now enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and receive a visitor visa only through airports and other border crossings.

A source at the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage noted that the decision is a continuation for procedures of launching the tourist visa and opening the doors of the Kingdom to the world and in harmony with the tourism bylaw and the list of visitor visas for the purpose of tourism.

He also pointed out that there is a committee headed by His Excellency Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage Mr. Ahmad bin Aqil Al Khatib that works on identifying targets and the mechanism of applying the structure of the visitor visas.

The source said: “Recipients of tourist or commercial visas to these countries can now enter the Kingdom and receive the tourist visa only through the visa upon arrival method and are not included in the e-visa.”

The source added that visitors of the Kingdom must have used their visas in a visit to the US, UK or any Schengen country before being allowed entry into the Kingdom.

He added that this step is part of many other measures the Kingdom has made to attract tourists from all around the world.

It is worth mentioning that the General Authority of Civil Aviation has issued a communique to national airlines companies to allow holders of these visas to travel to the Kingdom after verifying the visas and before completing the travel procedures.
